We believe that the best way to build software is to do it in close collaboration with the people who use it. We invite you to submit your ideas using the form below. Please be sure to include the problem for which you are solving and the benefits of implementing the idea.

We do our best to implement as many Ideas as we can. Our Product team will evaluate all submitted ideas in a timely manner and will disposition each into one of the following categories: will integrate into the product roadmap, further research is needed, unlikely to implement.

Show detailed information in automate for all resources

We would like to see the changes executed on a node in Automate, similar to how it is displayed in the chef-client output. The file resource has this functionality - please add similar functionality for other resources.

Currently, with some resources such as group, I see is that this resource has been successful, but there are no details. This isn’t too useful to me. Other resources, such as file give a real nice ‘diff’ option in Automate. It tells me exactly the difference it saw and the action it took. This is what I would like to see on all resources applied since it’s already in the chef-client output.
